Bumiku Education, the unique online English language and eco-education service, has launched an urgent appeal to raise money for families hit by a devastating earthquake in East Bali, Indonesia.

[INPRwire, Tue Oct 26 2021] The earthquake has left more than 350 families in one of the poorest parts of Indonesia homeless, just as the rainy season starts.

Funds are now being raised to pay for urgent food supplies and temporary building materials including tarpaulins, Go Green roofing sheets, cement, and more.

Launching the appeal, Bumiku Education's founder Tarryn Biswas said: "As a long-term supporter of the East Bali Poverty Project and the communities affected by this earthquake, I know just how devastating it has been.

"Families are homeless, they have limited food supplies, and the rainy season has just started, so they are in a desperate situation.

"Every donation makes a difference, so I am urging people to give what they can to help some of the poorest communities in the whole of Indonesia."

Since it was established, Bumiku Education has supported six schools in East Bali, previously raising money to renovate libraries there. Many of the roofs of these libraries have now collapsed entirely due to the earthquake.

Donations can be made safely via PayPal at https://www.paypal.com/pools/c/8DWF5U2q52.
